Underlying colour

Had a few interesting days!, friday i was printing and did some works!. but today i was chilaxing doing some drawing! just playing around with different coloured lines on canvas.. here are some pictures of the works i call underlying colour, i’ll show a few different angles:

so that was me playing about today!.

On Thursday i experimented with printing some works on wood, to see what the woodgrain would look like, and because wood is so hard a different printed effect happens. .so these next two images show the two i liked!:

and then some pictures of the prints i did.. a full days worth of printing!:

Then on friday i got frames made, framed the works, then sent them to New York..

here are four of the five pieces:

So yea i got to get cracking!.. still waiting on prints of Amsterdam to get done, which i am hoping will be in the next week, i think i have figured out how to collect them and print them home!. so thats cool!. then i will be able to start selling the works, which has been long awaited!!

  1. Hi Mark,
I’m sure you won’t remember me but I bought one of your New York lino cut maps a loooong time ago. I sent you an email a while back now asking if you were planning on doing a Paris map so I am really happy that you seem to be right in the middle of it. I wish you all the best for it, and would you please keep me in the loop if you plan to put any copies up for sale? I can’t wait to see the finished article.
    All the best,
    Craig
