Health
figured i might as well write this stuff up here as its the main thing going through my mind recently,
my health,
Its been a crazy few months health wise for me, very up and down with the Arthritis. my left hand and my left hip have been the worst effected. i went to the doctor a few months ago, and got an x-ray, which showed up osteoarthritis in my left hand. For about maybe as much as 5 months, my left hand has been very much in bad shape. waking up each morning its at its worst due to various factors that happen during sleep. Takes about an hour to get to an ok level. same goes for my hip, but thats not every day, thats just every now and again. its not feeling so good now, from walking in all the snow. annoyingly walking on the snow is painful as the movements when walking cause impact on the joints, so i feel it later on in the day but not at the time. I did have arthritis in all my joints except neck and back, so feel the odd pain most places, just some are worse then others, like my right elbow, no real pain, but i cant streighten it, which is for sure cause by the artworks i do, because of how much its bent.
i finally have been able to see a
“Rheumatologists. Rheumatologists deal mainly with clinical problems involving joints, soft tissues and the allied conditions of connective tissues.”
who was very good indeed. made much sense, and decided that it was best for me to see a physiotherapist (of which i’m hoping to be able to get to do Hydrotherapy) , so very much looking forward to this. great that today the doctor also showed me my x-rays from a few months ago as she could access them on her computer!. she pointed out the wear of the joints etc!. she thinks i no longer have rheumatoid arthritis, but that its my arthritis from the past that effected my joints that is causing my problems!. She said their is no real cure, which i knew, and that it will be about getting my joints stretched and just keeping them in good condition as possible!.
I’ll not be playing badminton anymore, i think i cant really do any sports that put too much pressure on the joints. Its going to all be about the daily swimming and gym work out.
Also today i had to have a ton of other x-rays:
both feet, top and sides
both knees
full pelvis x-ray back and front
chest
both hands
right elbow
also the doctor said i should get another blood test, so making appointment tomorrow, and also an ultrasound! i kind of do not mind going to hospital, they are rather interesting places!.
i’ve had so many tests in the past, most interesting was the dye that was injected into my blood street, and i had to wait a few hours then go back and get a scan of my knees done, that was before they knew about the arthritis when i was 12, and they were trying to figure out what was going on!, i also had an MRI scan! which was rather fun.
I need a good state of mind to tackle this, to get into better shape, the doctor said i need to build more muscle to take the stress off of the joints, so really going to try and do this. I just have to turn it into the daily routine, and make it part of my obsessions. Stretching is something i do not do enough of! i have tried to find yoga classes around here but i think they might be a bit too much for me. STRETCHING STRETCHING STRETCHING!!!!!!!!! i’m going to try and get hold of all the x-ray images that would be cool!, doubt i’ll get it though, but i can hope! i do think you have to pay for them for some reason.
oh and here is how the line canvas is coming along:

The count de monte cristo
Had a fun day on saturday at:
http://www.gamerbase.com/
Here in Reading, i got to play red Alert 3, on a local area network with a friend, for free, because they had not set up the strategy games yet, so installed them on 2 pcs for us, and gave us free access for the day. Not played computer games in ages, other then the odd flash game that i get obsessed with.
me and a friend used to play a game called “Age of empires/rise of rome” pretty much everyday after school in the school computer room for a year or two, and got pretty good. anyway we found this gamerbase had just opened so wanted to go play a stategy game for the fun of it.. so as we had free play on saturday, it means we have still got our two hours left on the account, so will be using that in the next week at some point.. after doing tutorials for red alert on the day, we had an idea of how to play, and i kicked nicks arse big time, fun game, a lot more to learn which is what i like about these strategy based games so looking forward to playing again.
The paris map.
The Paris map carving, is now in London, i hired a van with my brother for the day, and drove the linocut to london, due to its size, we had to end up getting a furniture removal type van, luckily my brother is a pretty good driver and likes driving. it was a lot of fuss, be we got it there safe and sound, very relieved to do so. i’m going on wednesday to talk about printing and sort this out. so very soon this will be done! other prints to come very soon of the other maps too, you can see here,
