Australia Trip: Sept 2003 - end of Jan 2004
I went to Australia for 5 months, to do conservation work with conservation volunteers australia, i had so much fun, and so many memories, when i have the time i will try and get some of my journal entrees up here. one of the best points about doing conservation volunteer work, was the diverse types of people that you get to meet, its fantastic, and you never forget them. I still know people now that i write to or meet up with, and recount some of the good days spent working, or some of the trips we went to on weekends.
Doing the conservation volunteer work with conservation volunteers Australia, also means that you can at times get to see places that you would otherwise not get to see. One thing that i read on the initial letter i recieved, when i first signed up and that i thought was amazing, was something written like this:
"you will be going away for 5 months, in a new country and meet new people.. you are going to feel sad, happy, angry, depressed, ecstatic, over joyed, loved, alone, and many more other things,"
i really liked the honesty and feel that was such a great quote, i knew it was going to be like that and it was!.. it was a trip of a lifetime, and it has changed me in many different ways!. i hope many more people get to experience the same thing!.
so anyway here are some pictures!.
